October concerts and events

I didn't have a chance to publish information about the Boulder Phil Discovery Concerts in my September post, but I had a great time performing the second movement of the Concerto for Oboe and Violin by J.S. Bach for school students today and yesterday! October is often a busy performance month, and this year appears to be no exception. Here is what's happening:

Tuesday, October 4: Convocation at 12:30 PM, Concert at 7:30 PM at Western State College in Gunnison

The co-founders of the Mountain Music Ensemble reunite to perform works for oboe/English horn, flute, and guitar! James and I will present our newest commissions at the convocation, including "Contando Estrellas" by Marcia Marchesi, "The Widow, the Orphan, and the Immigrant" by Andrew Hallady, and "Two About Two" by Loretta Notareschi. Lots of fun trio music with Becky Weidman-Winter on the evening concert, too!

Wednesday, October 12 at 7:30 PM: Loretta Notareschi's "Two About Two" at the Regis University Faculty recital.

I will also be participating in the Clementi Festival hosted by the Mercury Ensemble, in addition to performing some private events. Looks like a great month of music!
